Terms & Conditions of Trade

  1. About Digby School Resources

In these Terms & Conditions, Digby School Resources, we, our or us refers to Digby School Resources Pty Ltd. Customer refers to schools, early-learning centres, education providers, approved organisations and individuals purchasing goods and services from Digby School Resources.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, issuing a purchase order, or accepting delivery of goods, the Customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms apply to all transactions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  1. School Accounts & Authorised Ordering

Accounts are available to Australian schools, early-learning centres and approved education providers.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that only authorised staff place orders and that internal approval processes are followed. Digby School Resources is not responsible for orders placed without internal authorisation.

  1. Purchase Orders

Where a purchase order is issued, it must be valid and authorised.
Purchase orders are accepted subject to these Terms & Conditions. Any additional or inconsistent terms on a purchase order do not apply unless expressly agreed in writing by Digby School Resources.

  1. Orders

Orders may be placed online or through approved ordering channels.
Once an order has been processed or dispatched, it cannot be cancelled or amended without written approval.

  1. Pricing

All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD).
Unless otherwise stated, prices are exclusive of GST. GST will be added where applicable.
Printed catalogue prices are indicative only, the price at the time of ordering will apply.
Digby School Resources reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

  1. Payment Terms

Approved school and education accounts are invoiced with 30-day payment terms from invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment must be made in full by the due date.
Digby School Resources reserves the right to suspend supply where accounts are overdue.

  1. Delivery

Digby School Resources delivers Australia-wide using third-party carriers.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to carrier or regional factors.
Risk in goods passes to the Customer upon delivery to the nominated address.
Freight charges, where applicable, will be confirmed at the time of order.

  1. Receiving & Inspection

The Customer must inspect goods promptly upon delivery.
Any shortages, incorrect items or visible damage must be reported within 7 days of receipt to allow investigation and resolution.

  1. Returns & Faulty Goods

If goods are faulty or do not meet specifications, the Customer must notify Digby School Resources within seven days of delivery.
All returns require prior authorisation. Goods must be retained in reasonable condition until collected or returned.
Returns will be repaired, replaced or credited at Digby School Resources’s discretion.
Goods damaged after delivery or through misuse will not be accepted for return.

  1. Warranty

All products supplied by Digby School Resources come with a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated.

This warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects under normal use in educational environments. Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, Digby School Resources will, at its discretion, repair, replace or issue a credit for the affected product.

Some items, particularly consumable products or products with a limited shelf life, may have a shorter warranty period once opened or used. These items may fall outside the 12-month warranty once opened, used or stored incorrectly.

The warranty does not apply to:

  • normal wear and tear
  • misuse, improper storage or lack of supervision
  • damage occurring after delivery
  • products used outside their intended purpose or age guidelines

Nothing in this warranty limits rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

  1. Change of Mind Returns

Digby School Resources understands that purchasing requirements may change. Where goods are no longer required, change of mind returns may be accepted subject to the following conditions:

  1. The Customer must notify Digby School Resources Customer Service and request a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) before returning any goods. Returns for change of mind cannot be processed without a valid Return Authorisation Number.
  2. Goods must be returned in original, unopened packaging and in a resalable condition. Returned goods are to be sent to Digby School Resources at the Customer’s expense. Return delivery details will be provided when the Return Authorisation Number is issued. Opened or used products are not eligible for change of mind returns.
  3. Alternatively, Digby School Resources may arrange collection and processing of returned goods. Where this option is used, a 20% handling and processing fee will apply.
  4. All goods must be received by Digby School Resources in undamaged and saleable condition before a refund or credit note is issued. Original freight charges are non-refundable.

Note: Only products returned in original packaging are eligible for change of mind returns.

  1. Product Information & Substitutions

Product descriptions and images are indicative only.
From time to time, products may be updated or substituted with items of equivalent quality to ensure continuity of supply.

  1. Compliance & Safe Use

Digby School Resources supplies products suitable for educational environments.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision and usage in accordance with product instructions, age guidelines and relevant education policies.

  1. Intellectual Property

All catalogues, website content, images and materials remain the intellectual property of Digby School Resources and must not be reproduced without written permission.

  1. Privacy

Digby School Resources manages personal and account information in accordance with Australian privacy legislation. Our Privacy Policy is available on our website.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Digby School Resources is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
