Bertie® Gesso 4L

Prepare artwork with a reliable foundation using Bertie® Gesso 4L. Designed to create a consistent primed surface before painting, gesso helps provide tooth for improved paint adhesion while creating a more uniform base for colour application. Manufactured to a high standard, it is perfect for preparing canvases, art boards and a variety of suitable porous surfaces before beginning acrylic and other compatible painting projects.

Apply the gesso evenly with a broad brush, roller or suitable painting tool to build a prepared surface ready for creative work. Additional coats can be applied where a more substantial ground is required, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next. Once dry, the prepared surface can be painted directly or lightly sanded where a smoother finish is preferred.
