Bertie® Gesso 500mL

Create a reliable foundation for painting with Bertie® Gesso 500mL. Designed to prepare and prime surfaces before colour is applied, gesso creates a consistent base with added tooth to help paint adhere effectively. Manufactured to a high standard for dependable creative use, it is perfect for preparing canvases, art boards and a variety of suitable porous surfaces for acrylic painting and other compatible art techniques.

Apply an even layer using a wide brush, roller or paint spreader, working the gesso across the entire surface. Once dry, an additional coat can be applied where a more substantial painting ground is required. For artists wanting a smoother finish, the dried gesso can also be lightly sanded between coats before the final painting process begins.
