Reeves Coarse Texture Gel is a 200mL acrylic effects medium that adds bold, coarse, sand-like texture and three-dimensional surface quality to acrylic paintings and mixed media artworks. When dry, the gel produces a rigid, waterproof, gritty finish with the characteristic coarse texture of rough sand, creating a highly tactile surface that adds visual depth, physical presence and painterly interest to any work it is applied to. The convenient tube format makes dispensing and application clean and straightforward.
The gel offers two primary methods of use, giving students flexibility in how they incorporate it into their practice. Mixed directly into acrylic paint before application, it creates a thick, coarse-textured paint that retains brushstroke marks and builds surface dimension as it is applied.
